Lab Testing for Men
Our physicians use an inventory of your symptoms (subjective information) and lab results (objective information) to zero in on your better aging needs.
Facts About Lab Testing for Men
- Hormone therapy should never be prescribed without lab testing at regular intervals. To do so is neither safe, nor effective.
- It is entirely possible for two men to have similar lab results, but very different symptoms. The opposite can also be true. To prescribe the same regimen to two men with the same test results or the same symptoms would be a disservice to those men. Lab results and symptoms—as well as individual goals and objectives—should be taken into consideration when devising a treatment plan.
- When lab results are interpreted relative to how you feel, the conclusions drawn will be unique to you. Similarly, treatment that draws from these conclusions will be personalized to your needs.
Method of Treatment
Most men are familiar with being treated by a physician. We think that treatment with your physician is a superior approach. No one knows your body better than you. We look upon your input as being vital to the process.
We will review your lab results with you every time you lab test. Your symptoms will be well documented. And we will explain how your symptoms relate to your results. Then, we collaborate with you to create a treatment plan that suits you and your unique needs. Testing at regular intervals will ensure that your levels remain optimal as your treatment progresses.
Do you want to be evaluated for nutritional deficiencies? Or perhaps you’re concerned about blood sugar or inflammation markers. Additional lab testing can be added any time you wish. If you have particular concern or area of interest, just ask.
Lab testing is an important frame of reference for what we do. Better aging just can’t be accomplished without it.
