Lab Testing for Woman
Our physicians use two primary diagnostic tools when assessing your better aging needs: an inventory of your symptoms (subjective information) and lab results (objective information).
Facts About Lab Testing for Women
- Hormone therapy cannot be prescribed safely and effectively without lab testing at regular intervals.
- Two women can have the same lab results, but very different symptoms. The reverse can also be true. To suggest that two women who have the same test results or the same symptoms should have the same treatment plan would be erroneous. We take the whole picture into consideration.
- When lab results are assessed in conjunction with how you feel, the conclusions drawn are unique to you. Likewise, a treatment plan that draws from these conclusions will be tailored to your unique needs.
Method of Treatment
Most women are accustomed to being treated by a physician. At Renew Youth, we believe strongly that treatment with your physician is the better approach. No one is more familiar with your body and how you feel than you. Your input should be integral to the process.
Your Renew Youth team will review your lab results with you every time you lab test. We make sure your symptoms are well documented, and we explain how your symptoms relate to your lab results. Then we work with you to build a treatment plan that suits your needs. Lab testing at regular intervals will ensure that lab levels stay within healthy limits, and that your treatment program is progressing as planned.
Additional lab testing can be added any time you wish. Do you want to be evaluated for nutritional deficiencies? Or perhaps you’re concerned about blood sugar or inflammation markers. If you have particular areas of interest, all you have to do is ask. Likewise, our physicians will make recommendations as appropriate.
Lab testing provides an important frame of reference for everything we do. Better aging can’t be accomplished without it.
