I found you online. Can I trust you?

We recognize that it’s a leap of faith to entrust your health to a company you found online. While the internet is an efficient way for us to reach prospective clients, it does create some hurdles when it comes to establishing credibility.

It may help to know that we have been in the better aging business since 1999, and we have been leaders in the areas of anti-aging and longevity ever since. We are thriving because we pride ourselves on our integrity and the quality of our treatment programs, products, and services. Our goal is to establish long-term relationships with our clients. That can only be achieved through open and honest communication. You are welcome to call and speak with us personally. We will answer your questions in a forthright manner.

Renew Man/Woman Programs

I have done a lot of reading about hormone therapy, but does it work?

Yes—if done correctly and under the supervision of an experienced physician.

Hormone therapy is not a pie in the sky search for the fountain of youth. It’s medical science at its best. It’s trained physicians using lab tests and treatment protocols that have been developed for over 25 years to produce life-altering results.

When should I think about replacing hormones?

Historically, our answer to the “when should I start” question has been to begin treatment once you have symptoms, regardless of age.

However, the idea that the aging process can be managed is gaining in momentum. An outgrowth of that momentum is that we have an increasing number of clients contacting us initially because they wish to take control of the aging process early, long before symptoms have emerged.

Whether you want to head off the aging process early, or you’re just beginning to experience symptoms, or your symptoms are severe and you’ve had them for a long time, we can design a treatment program to address your unique needs.

What does bioidentical mean (versus synthetic)?

Bioidentical means that molecularly the hormone you’re replacing is exactly the same as what your body produces naturally. The molecules of synthetic hormones, on the other hand, are slightly different from natural/bioidentical.

There are hormone receptors all over your body. You can think of these receptors as if they’re locks, and hormone molecules as if they’re keys. Synthetic hormone molecules don’t fit into those locks quite right. As a consequence, they don’t work the way they ought to in your body—often with detrimental consequences.

You may be wondering…why would pharmaceutical companies make synthetic hormones with molecules that are slightly different from natural when they could just as easily make hormones that are bioidentical? Because it’s the only way they can patent them. Bioidentical hormones can’t be patented.

How are hormones replaced/delivered?

The short answer to this question is that it depends. For some hormones, there are one or two safe methods of delivery. In other instances, client preference comes into play. You will be informed as to what the pros and cons are of any particular method of delivery, so you and our physicians can decide what makes the most sense for you. Regardless, our physicians will not allow you to do something that isn’t safe.

Do I have to treat all hormones?

Hormones can be treated separately or in combination. However, we do emphasize that ideally the goal during hormone therapy is to have hormones that are balanced relative to each other. Better results are obtained by taking the right amount of a combination of hormones, depending upon what your lab results show and depending upon your symptoms. In other words, your hormones will function better if they’re all present at healthy levels.

How much of any given hormone will I take?

Your Renew Youth physician will prescribe the amount needed to optimize your levels. Our physicians use a combination of lab testing and monitoring how you feel to finetune your dosing.

Is hormone therapy safe?

Yes. Countless studies have shown not only the safety of hormone therapy, but also the long-term health benefits. This assumes that treatment is done properly and is monitored regularly. At Renew Youth, safety and best practice are top priorities.

Are there side effects associated with your therapies?

When hormones are administered properly and your levels are optimized, there should be no side effects.

How long must I commit to hormone therapy?

Your commitment to hormone therapy should last for as long as you want to receive the benefits and results. If this thought is daunting, consider that men and women of previous generations had the same age-related challenges we face today. They could not, however, do anything about those challenges. When you consider the improved lifespan and healthspan that hormone therapy affords, making the commitment becomes easier.

Where and how do I get my lab testing done?

Renew Youth has national accounts with two of the largest lab companies in the country. We will arrange for you to have your testing done at a location that is near you.

For added convenience, we can have a phlebotomist come to your home or office for your testing. There is an additional fee for this service.

Where will I see my Renew Youth physician?

Renew Youth has physicians located throughout the country. Some see patients in-person, some see patients virtually, and others have both options available. Call us to discuss what we have available in your area.

Will hormone therapy interfere with my present medications?

Because hormones are not drugs, it’s unlikely they will react with any of your other medications. In fact, some medications may no longer be needed once hormones are balanced. For example, research has shown that many people no longer need antidepressants and sleep aids once hormones are restored to healthy levels. We will collect a detailed health history from you before you start treatment, so your Renew Youth physician will be aware of any medications you’re already taking. Specific concerns about contraindications should be discussed with your Renew Youth physician.

Are diet and exercise important?

Yes! Establishing good lifestyle habits is critical to achieving optimal results from your treatment regimen. This means maintaining a healthy diet, getting enough exercise, managing stress, getting adequate sleep, and drinking plenty of water.

Will my insurance pay for my treatment?

Most therapies that we provide are not covered by insurance, nor do we process insurance. We do have receipts available to our clients for those who wish to try filing their own claim with their insurance company. The following article may be of further interest relative to insurance

Can you help me with sexual dysfunction?

Absolutely. We have many solutions available for both men and women.

Can you help me with weight loss?

Yes, we have a number of solutions available for weight loss, including metformin, semaglutide, and tirzepatide.

Will injectable nutrients be a part of my treatment program?

That’s largely up to you. Many of our clients augment their better aging efforts with injectable nutrients. Our physicians will discuss your goals with you and will review the various options available to you.
